As we get closer to the end of the Season it is imperative that everyone understand that

until a link is posted with wording " FINAL STANDINGS - BRACKETS COMPLETED that

nothing posted is technically OFFICIAL

 

Below is tournament seeding criteria

 

TOURNAMENT PLAY:
1)  Percentages will be figured by dividing the team's games won by the number of

      games a team has played. 

     The team with the highest percentage is the #1 seed; the next highest percentage

      will be #2 and so on.
2)  Point system below will be used: 
(Approved by BOD 1-14-07)
        Two (2) points for a WIN
        Zero (0) points for a LOSS
        Minus two (-2) points for each team that fails to play any regular season game,

        or fails to make up any weather related canceled game as outlined in Rule #11.
            Note: The team with the highest number of points will be the higher seed.
3.  Head to Head winner


       BOD APPROVED CHANGE 1/18/09:

       Head to Head criteria will ONLY APPLY if all TEAMS TIED have played each other.

       If they have NOT PLAYED EACH OTHER then seeding will drop to criteria #4 - Strength of Schedule

       and if necessary to criteria # 5

There is no rule on which way a player may slide (head or feet)

IT IS CRITICAL WE UNDERSTAND THAT

ALL (NO EXCEPTIONS) THAT DIDGET GAMES

MUST END WITH AN OPEN INNING

 

RULE #17

DIDGET DIVISION ONLY - OPEN INNING & TIME LIMIT RULES - (BOD APPROVED ON 2/1/14)

TIME LIMIT RULE

Games MUST convert to an OPEN INNING (regardless of the inning) if possible prior to 7:30pm (or 1 hour - 30 minutes from start time)

If after 7:30 ALL GAMES MUST conclude with an OPEN INNING (or with tie breaker rules - see written procedures below)

 

 

If the VISITING TEAM is ahead by ten (10) or more runs, then the HOME TEAM shall bat first.

If the visiting team get three outs and is still leading the game - THE GAME IS OVER.

If the home teams takes the lead then the VISITING TEAM will then have their chance to bat in the bottom of the open inning

Sportsmanship Conduct Statement

We expect excellent sportsmanship to occur during all Tri County League events.  Sportsmanship includes many parts - attitude, intensity,
commitment and the way we interact with each other. 
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL OF US - ESPECIALLY EXAMPLES SET BY COACHES AND PARENTS.

NO coach, player, umpire, or fan shall engage in any grossly unsportsman like conduct including, but not limited to: throwing equipment, use of profanity, arguing, yelling or directing remarks to, or at, any player, coach, or umpire during or after any Tri County Baseball League events.

UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT
WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN THE LEAGUE -

Town Baseball Associations and their coaches are directly responsible
for their conduct and the conduct of their players and fans. 
It is imperative that this is clearly communicated to all participants.
